Materials & Manufacturing
Built from the foam out.
Every eLegacy seat is a stack of decisions — foam density, hide or vinyl, thread, seam and stitch. Here is what goes into one, photographed on our own manufacturing floor in Elkhart, Indiana.
Close up
Stitching and piping, at the scale you’d see it from the seat.

Contrast Diamond Stitching
Double-needle diamond quilting in contrast thread, with a color-matched leather welt running the bolster line.

Piping & Perforation
Twin piped welts wrap the cushion edge while the perforated center panel breathes under ventilation.

Headrest Detailing
Wrapped headrests finished with piped borders and a mirrored diamond pattern carried down the backrest.

Armrest Seams
Sculpted armrests built over high-density foam, with topstitched seams and a chrome-accented welt.

01
Automotive-Grade Vinyl
High-performance automotive vinyl rated for UV exposure, abrasion and temperature swing inside a vehicle cabin. It wipes clean, holds color and takes a crisp seam — the practical choice for hard-working luxury interiors.
- UV and heat stable
- Abrasion and stain resistant
- Soft-touch grain options
- Cleans with mild soap and water

02
Katzkin Integration
We build with Katzkin automotive leather and vinyl programs, so a Katzkin-specified interior can carry straight through the seats we manufacture. Colors, perforation and insert layouts stay matched cabin-wide.
- Katzkin leather and vinyl lines
- Color-matched to the rest of the interior
- Perforated and insert combinations
- Consistent grain across every panel

03
High-Density Quality Foam
Seats are built on high-density foam cut and layered for support rather than bulk — firm through the base, softer at the surface, so the seat keeps its shape after thousands of hours of use.
- High-density base foam
- Layered comfort surface
- Contoured bolster support
- Shape retention over time
